By the close of 2024, it was disclosed that over 2 million units of the game titled “Alan Wake 2” had been sold. This implies that the game’s production expenses have been covered, and henceforth, each additional copy distributed to players will generate revenue for the studio.

Alan Wake 2 was published on October 27, 2023, which means it took slightly more than a year for its release. However, Sam Lake remains unfazed by this timeframe, affirming that the studio will persist in creating “extraordinary games” instead.

Work on the game titled “Firebreak” within the Control universe continues as reported by Remedy. This cooperative First-Person Shooter supports up to 3 players and is expected to be launched later in the current year, but the specific release date remains undisclosed.

The circumstances mirror that of the Max Payne Remake, encompassing the initial two episodes from the series after undergoing a thorough overhaul. To clarify, no alterations have been made yet and the games remain in their ongoing developmental stage, as was stated in August of the previous year.

Additionally, we’ve been informed that by the end of this month, Control 2 will transition out of its pre-production stage. This means the main development work on the game will begin in earnest.
