Adin Ross thinks Kick has revitalized the streaming world, making it enjoyable to watch again. He questions whether he’d be as successful today if he were starting as a new streamer on Twitch.
While several platforms have tried to compete with Twitch in the livestreaming space, Kick has emerged as the biggest threat. Supported by Stake, Kick has gained traction in some areas and attracted popular streamers away from Twitch, which is owned by Amazon.
Twitch has become so popular that it’s introduced some updates to improve the experience for both streamers and viewers, like the Live Rewind feature.
Adin Ross thinks Kick is shaking things up and actually making Twitch more enjoyable, although he acknowledges that some streamers are still facing unfair treatment from the platform.
Adin Ross claims Twitch is treating streamers “badly”
During his stream on November 22nd, he explained that Twitch creators are often treated unfairly and have money taken from their earnings.
I’m not sure I’d get the same viewership on Twitch today that I used to. But I think Twitch doesn’t really support its creators well. Honestly, I feel like Kick has revitalized streaming.
He explained that he’s noticed streamers are much more relaxed now, and he credits Kick for that. He shared that after being banned from another platform, Kick treated him incredibly well from 2023 to 2025, and really brought the enjoyment back into streaming – even making Twitch a better platform as a result.
Adin Ross says he’s sticking with Kick because Twitch doesn’t treat streamers well. He believes Kick has improved streaming overall, making it enjoyable again and even pushing Twitch to improve its own practices. He’s noticed streamers are more relaxed and less afraid to be themselves thanks to the platform.

Ross, who was allowed back on Twitch in March 2025 after a ban, has hinted at returning to the platform several times. He recently said that Kick wasn’t meeting his needs and plans to stream his major content on Twitch instead.
He assured fans he’ll continue using Kick for activities like gaming, everyday computer use, online gambling, and streaming when it’s a good fit. So far, Ross has remained committed to the platform.
