„Add the features we expect first.” This is how Manor Lords players reacted to developer’s new idea

The developer behind Manor Lords has shared plans for a new addition to the game, but the response from players hasn’t been overwhelmingly positive.

“Finish the started features first”

Grzegorz Styczen recently posted a poll on X asking players about a new game mode for *Manor Lords*. The proposed mode would be “competitive peaceful,” where the first player to fully develop their settlement would win. With over 4,000 votes cast so far, almost 67% of players said they like the idea.

Most players didn’t seem enthusiastic about the idea and suggested the developer prioritize other improvements. The most popular comment emphasized the need to deliver the features players have been requesting.

Once the game is fully launched, focus on adding the features players have been asking for.

Styczen requested concrete examples, and a player responded by noting that major updates used to come out more often. The player believes the game still needs improvements in areas like artificial intelligence, combat, sieges, trade, and skill trees. Others have also mentioned that the game has some features that aren’t fully completed, and suggest focusing on finishing those first.

Please complete the features you’re currently working on before starting anything new. This will help us release updates much sooner than in nine months.

People have asked for a bug-fixing update, and thankfully, Styczen has responded saying it’s coming soon, after a few final adjustments are made.

The developer followed up with another survey to get feedback on the new approval system, which went live in beta in early October. Most people like it, but a lot of them think there’s still room for improvement.
