Adam Sandler Makes Surprise Return to ‘SNL’ in Bloody Sketch Torturing His Buddy Chris Rock

As a movie buff who has spent countless hours immersed in the world of comedy, I must say that Adam Sandler‘s appearance on Saturday Night Live was nothing short of brilliant! His longtime collaboration with Chris Rock and his recent work with Sarah Sherman added an extra layer of charm to the sketch.

The crowd at “Saturday Night Live” erupted in cheers when Adam Sandler made an appearance during a hospital skit, complete with fake blood.

In the drawing, Emil Wakim, Ego Nwodim, Bowen Yang, and host Chris Rock are all performing surgery on a body. However, an untrustworthy surgeon, portrayed by Sarah Sherman, confesses that she made an error with her pre-operative paperwork, resulting in the removal of the patient’s gallbladder instead of his appendix.

As the medical team expresses surprise, the leader of The Rock’s surgical team pleads for understanding when the hidden patient unexpectedly sits up, revealing Adam Sandler. This sudden revelation causes a shower of fake blood to cover the entire cast, prompting Sandler to urge The Rock to open his mouth to stem the flow. The Rock obliges and is doused with blood from head to toe, even tasting it in his own mouth. The players and audience can’t help but laugh at the hilarious scene unfolding.

At some point, Sandler addresses Wakim directly through the ‘fourth wall’, commenting that while his part in the skit might not have been significant, his family would certainly be proud to see him given a spotlight in the show.

Sandler continued his presence during the Goodnights segment of the show, where both him and Rock appeared clean and free from any stage makeup or fake blood.

Sandler and Rock have a rich history of working together, dating back to their time on “Saturday Night Live” in the ’90s. They’ve also shared the screen in several films, such as “The Longest Yard” from 2005, “Grown-Ups” in 2010, and more recently, “The Week Of” in 2018.

In 2023, I had the privilege of working alongside Sherman on the movie “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah.” Additionally, I’ve had the opportunity to warm up the audience for his tours when he was performing live.
