The cooperative survival game, Abiotic Factor, recently released a new expansion. The game has improved significantly since its initial Early Access launch in May 2024 and officially launched earlier this year. Along with the expansion, a large 1.1 update was released, but players were eager to purchase the expansion both for the new content and to support the game developers.
Love is booming
Okay, so the Abiotic Factor just got a big update – version 1.1 dropped on November 3, 2025! The coolest part? They added Hardcore and Iron Modes. Basically, if you die, you lose everything, which sounds terrifying but also super exciting. They’ve also made the enemies smarter with some new abilities. On the plus side, they added exercise machines so I can keep fit in the game! They’ve tweaked a bunch of stuff too, like how throwing works, and made reloading shotguns and magnums feel better. Oh, and the traders? They’re way more chill now – they won’t block doorways anymore, and they can even sit down! It’s the little things, you know?
I’m so hyped for the update! Not only are they adding new weapons and upgrades, but the developers finally got the green light from Playstack to include some cool Balatro-themed items. Apparently, we can look forward to a new tie, ID cards, and even a fun hat – it’s going to be awesome!

With a fresh, free gym to try and a cool hat to earn, it’s fair to wonder why anyone would buy the downloadable content. While it’s more than just cosmetic items – that Botanist outfit is pretty great – it also adds a whole new world to explore. Still, the main game offers plenty of content. It seems like many players purchased the DLC simply to support the developers and were happy to do so.
Nearly all of the Steam reviews for Temple of Stone look something like this:

I wholeheartedly recommend this game without hesitation. It’s truly excellent, and the developers are fantastic.

It’s a really dedicated community, and Deep Field Games has definitely earned their support. Players who joined during Early Access even received a free supporter pack when the full game came out. As a result, the community is always eager to show their appreciation.
