A Reminder That A New Colleen Hoover Movie Is Coming

It was only a matter of time before a song by Alex Warren appeared in a Colleen Hoover movie. Hoover’s latest film adaptation, Reminders of Him, is coming soon, and like her previous movies, it’s a deeply emotional story filled with both romance and difficult experiences. Hopefully, this film will be one of her more drama-free productions! Directed by Vanessa Caswill (known for Love at First Sight) and co-written by Lauren Levine (who wrote Verity) and Colleen Hoover herself, Reminders of Him centers around a woman recently released from prison who wants to rebuild a relationship with her daughter after her husband’s death. As with all of Hoover’s stories, expect plenty of heartache and emotional challenges.

Kenna meets Scotty, who is sweet but hesitant about asking her out. Their budding relationship takes a tragic turn when they’re in a car accident that kills Scotty and lands Kenna in legal trouble. To complicate things, they share a child Kenna no longer raises; the child is now in the care of Scotty’s best friend, Ledger, and Scotty’s family – and it appears Kenna and Ledger haven’t even met before.

Wait, Tyriq Withers is in this?

Honestly, I’m really excited about the cast! Besides the fantastic Withers and Monroe, we’ve got Lauren Graham and Bradley Whitford playing Scotty’s parents, which is brilliant casting. And keep an eye out for Lainey Wilson – this movie marks her first ever film role, and she’s playing one of Kenna’s friends. I think she’ll be great!

When does it come out?

The newest edition to the HCU arrives on March 13, 2026.
