A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms fans have one major complaint after Episode 2

The second episode of ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’, titled ‘Hard Salt Beef’, is now available on HBO Max. While viewers are generally enjoying the ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel, many have one big issue with it – and it’s not related to the recent discussion about Ser Arlan’s character.

This new show is part of the growing world of Game of Thrones, but it’s different from House of the Dragon. Instead of a large-scale epic, it’s a smaller story based on the Dunk and Egg novellas by George R.R. Martin.

The first season is based on the story ‘The Hedge Knight’ and centers around Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) as he explores what it truly means to be a knight. He’s accompanied on his journey by his young apprentice, Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell).

This new story set in Westeros is warmer and more cheerful than previous ones, and it quickly gained attention when it first aired—especially because of a memorable (and somewhat shocking) scene involving… well, you know. Although the second episode contains an even more graphic moment, that isn’t what’s currently causing some viewers to voice their concerns.

The second episode of ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ is only 33 minutes long. While the episode lengths were announced beforehand, many viewers were surprised and have suggested the entire first season would have been better released all at once.

While Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon usually featured hour-long episodes, the new series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is structured differently. The first episode ran for 42 minutes, but subsequent episodes will be approximately half an hour long.
