Ford is now selling certified pre-owned vehicles on Amazon, making it easier for customers to find and buy them online. This new partnership allows select Ford dealerships to list their certified pre-owned cars directly on Amazon’s automotive section.
This is Ford’s first significant step into Amazon’s expanding online car store, which started welcoming car manufacturers two years ago. While Amazon’s deal with Hyundai focuses on brand new vehicles, Ford will be selling certified pre-owned cars – vehicles that have been thoroughly inspected, restored, and come with a warranty.
Ford expands CPO sales as Amazon’s auto marketplace grows
Ford is making it easier to buy used cars online. Customers can now browse available vehicles, get financing, complete initial paperwork, and arrange a pickup time at participating Ford dealerships – all from the comfort of their homes. While final signatures still require an in-person visit, much of the process is now digital. Plus, Ford offers a 14-day/1,000-mile money-back guarantee on vehicles bought through Amazon.
Over 160 Ford dealerships have started preparing to sell certified pre-owned vehicles, and around a dozen are already up and running. More dealerships will launch next week. Ford will offer three levels of certification, each with a different warranty. Right now, you can find certified pre-owned Ford vehicles in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas, and they’ll be available in more cities soon.

Amazon is now working with Hertz to sell used cars on its website, showing its growing interest in the automotive market. While Ford and Hyundai still rely on traditional dealerships to sell new cars due to state laws preventing direct sales, selling used cars has fewer restrictions. This has allowed companies like Carvana and now Hertz to thrive online.
Fan Jin, head of Amazon Autos, announced that Ford’s selection of certified pre-owned vehicles is now available on the platform. This adds thousands of inspected and warranty-covered cars as Amazon grows its automotive business.
This announcement follows Pagani’s recent offer of a special car to buyers of luxury Miami apartments priced at $30 million.
