New Lost Soul Aside update on PS5 and PC coming tomorrow brings in wave-based Surge of Voidrax mode and more

Tomorrow, a new update will be released for Lost Soul Aside on PlayStation 5 and PC (via Steam), according to Sony Interactive Entertainment and Ultizero Games.

This update introduces several new features, including the challenging Surge of Voidrax – a 100-wave endless battle – along with fresh skins, the option to skip the prologue, and the Voidrax Pathfinder, which lets you explore more freely. There’s also a host of other improvements.

Get ready to continue Kaser and Arena’s adventure in Lost Soul Aside! Based on what players told us after launch, we’re releasing a major free update tomorrow, November 18th. It includes a brand-new challenge mode called Surge of Voidrax, plus improvements to the graphics, sound, and gameplay – all designed to make your experience even better.

New challenge mode: Surge of Voidrax 100-waves endless battle with limitless challenge

Liana has built the Surge of Voidrax Dimension with Imperial technology to contain the unstable Voidrax energy. Unfortunately, the collected energy has created Phantom Voidrax, causing powerful and ongoing bursts of energy that keep breaking through the barriers.

Liana has asked Kaser to venture into the Surge of Voidrax Dimension and battle through as many as 100 waves of enemies. His mission is to restore order and reinforce the seal between dimensions.

Rules and highlights

Okay, so there’s this thing called the 100-wave challenge, and it’s brutal! Basically, you just fight wave after wave of enemies – 100 of them, actually – and each wave gets harder and harder. It’s a real test of how long I can last and how smart I play, seriously pushing me to my limits. It’s all about endurance and figuring out the best strategy to survive!

You start with everything unlocked! All skills and all four weapons are immediately available, letting you customize your fighting style and handle any battle situation.

Various enemy types gathered: Encounter a lineup of classic bosses and diverse monsters, offering a strategic and action-packed showdown at every wave.

Dynamic intermission supplies: After completing each wave, visit Liana’s Shop to refill potions, change accessories, boost Arena Power, or acquire new weapons—preparing you for the next challenge.

Exclusive cosmetic rewards: Upon clearing specific waves for the first time, earn the Phantom Card to craft interdimensional appearances at Liana’s Workshop, allowing your character to display a unique visual style and showcase your victorious glory.
