I just saw the trailer for Cold Storage, and it looks absolutely insane! Liam Neeson is teaming up with Joe Keery (from Stranger Things) and Georgina Campbell (Barbarian), and it’s a full-on zombie-style horror movie. Basically, a fungus breaks out of a cold storage facility, starts mutating, and spreads fast. The story follows two young employees at the facility and a retired guy who used to deal with bioterrorism, and it’s up to them to save the world. The trailer promises a really wild, action-packed ride, and I’m definitely intrigued to see if they can pull it off!
Okay, so I just heard about this movie, and it sounds insane! Basically, this super dangerous, rapidly changing fungus breaks loose from a top-secret lab. It’s up to two young workers and this really tough, experienced guy who deals with bio-threats to survive the night and stop it from wiping out everyone. Apparently, it spreads fast and just destroys everything in its way, so the stakes are seriously high!
The upcoming film Cold Storage comes from David Koepp, the writer behind Jurassic Park, and is based on his own 2019 novel. Westworld director Jonny Campbell is at the helm, and Gavin Polone, known for Zombieland, is producing alongside Koepp. Koepp has described the movie as scary, funny, exciting, and surprising – everything he looks for in a film – and stated that the team has big plans for it. When the project was first announced in 2022, Campbell also shared his enthusiasm.
Cold Storage is a truly captivating story that balances grand, sweeping ideas with incredibly intricate details. I was immediately hooked by David’s clever and playful writing style, which seamlessly mixes humor and imaginative concepts. It’s hard not to be drawn in by the terrifying yet fascinating alien parasite at the heart of the story.
