One Piece Season 3 Gets Exciting Release Date Update

Good news for fans of One Piece! We now have a better idea of when Season 3 will be released. Recent updates reveal the planned schedule for filming, and the announcement has created a lot of buzz among viewers.

One Piece Season 3 filming date revealed ahead of Season 2 release

Netflix has announced the filming dates for Season 3 of One Piece. Production will start in Cape Town on November 24, 2025, and is expected to continue until June 19, 2026.

As a big fan of this show, I just heard that filming for Season 3 took longer than almost any previous season! This news came out even before Season 2 is released, finally putting all the rumors we’ve been hearing for months to rest. What’s on Netflix had the scoop.

The third season was officially confirmed during the One Piece Day event in August 2025, after rumors had been circulating for months about its development. In June, actor Joe Manganiello suggested filming would begin in the last three months of 2025, explaining that production was resuming after a break following Season 2. He stated he would be returning to work on the continuing story later in the year.

Netflix has officially announced the release date for Season 2, titled ‘One Piece: Into the Grand Line,’ as March 10, 2026. Originally planned for a 2025 release, production delays mean it will arrive next year. Because Season 3 is now in early production, fans can expect it to premiere sometime in 2027.

We don’t yet know what the story will be in Season 3 of the show. However, Xolo Maridueña will be joining the cast as Portgas D. Ace, and Cole Escola will play the assassin Bon Clay. The same production companies – Film Afrika Entertainment, FA Project Arcadia, and Tomorrow Studios – are handling production.
