Episode 8 bug in Dispatch
It’s frustrating to reach the end of a game and get stopped by a bug. Many players are experiencing this in the final section of Dispatch, Episode 8, getting stuck during the dispatch phase. Let’s explore what’s causing the issue and see if there’s a solution.
As you’d expect from the finale, things get really unpredictable. A huge Red Ring attack on Los Angeles makes sending out heroes a complicated, multi-stage process on a much larger map. Before you can even deploy them, you’ll need to unlock each hero first. And just when you think that’s all, a character previously removed from the story returns seeking revenge. It’s no surprise, then, that the game can become unstable, sometimes failing to provide new missions or update existing ones.
To avoid problems, when the villain attacks, focus on helping Phenomaman or Waterboy first. Helping the rebelled character first seems to prevent Invisigal from appearing and stopping the sequence. Just remember, if you removed Invisigal from Episode 7, she won’t show up at all, which is intentional for the story.
Sometimes, this doesn’t fix the problem because Dispatch remembers your earlier decisions. If you’re truly stuck, your best bet is to return to the main menu and reload from your last saved point, hoping that will get things working again.
