RHOSLC Star Mary Cosby Accused of Running a ‘Cult’ in New Doc

Ahead of BravoCon 2025, TLC has released a trailer for a new documentary about Mary Cosby, star of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. The documentary will examine allegations that Cosby leads a cult, which have been a recurring topic on the show. Titled The Cult of a Real Housewife, the three-part series will investigate the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church, which Cosby co-runs with her husband and former step-grandfather, Robert Cosby Sr. The series will begin with the story of how the church was founded by Cosby’s grandmother, Rosemary “Mama” Cosby, and then explore what happened after her death and Mary Cosby’s marriage to her widower.

The documentary will feature former members sharing their stories publicly for the first time, including key figures from Faith Temple like the Enoch family. Viewers will hear deeply personal and unsettling accounts from Mary’s sister, Denise Jefferson Odinaka, and her cousin, Dan Cosby, along with his wife, Kim. The Cult of a Real Housewife will debut on TLC on January 1, 2026.

Viewers of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC) already have some insight into this situation thanks to Cameron Williams, a former church member who appeared on the show before his death. In season two, he warned Meredith Marks that the church’s leader, Cosby, was “harmful” and advised her to be cautious. He also questioned Lisa Barlow about whether the church was a cult, stating that Cosby referred to herself as “God.” Barlow revealed on the show that Williams had taken out a mortgage on his house to donate $300,000 to the church, but ultimately left due to “extreme religious trauma.” Williams passed away in 2021, and Cosby skipped the season two RHOSLC reunion, explaining she didn’t want to discuss him because he was deceased.
