Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft Gaming, has responded to Valve’s recent announcement of new gaming hardware, the Steam Deck and Steam Machine. He stated that Microsoft welcomes these new devices.
The gaming industry thrives when players and developers have more freedom to play and create, particularly on open platforms. Xbox believes in offering choices across PCs, consoles, and handheld devices, a philosophy that has always been central to their approach. As a major publisher on Steam, Xbox is excited about new ways for players to enjoy games on any device.
Josh Stein, a marketing manager at Xbox, pointed out that the newly announced Steam Machine looks similar to earlier, inaccurate leaks of the Xbox Series S.
All I can see is the “rumored” leaks from 2019 of Series S designs haha. All hail the cube.
