In ARC Raiders, completing quests lets you earn rewards and discover new locations, but the game doesn’t always give clear directions. The “Celeste’s Journals” quest is a good example – Celeste asks you to find her journals at Raider camps, but doesn’t tell you exactly where to look. If this sounds familiar, it’s because Celeste’s directions weren’t very helpful during the previous “Straight Record” quest either.
“Celeste’s Journals” can be challenging because you have to travel a long distance in one go, and you also need to successfully escape the area. It’s a good idea to bring Adrenaline Shots and a Raider Hatch Key, particularly if you’re playing alone. These items will help you reach your objectives faster and avoid trouble when trying to leave Dam Battlegrounds at the elevator.
Celeste’s Journals: Northern Outpost Location
Actually Called Raider Outpost East
The objective “Retrieve Celeste’s Journals from the northern outpost overlooking the Red Lakes” in “Celeste’s Journals” can be confusing. While the Red Lakes are easy to find on the east side of the Dam Battlegrounds map, there isn’t a location actually named “northern outpost.” You’re looking for Raider Outpost East, which is located north of the Red Lakes, behind the Power Generation Complex. Check the map screenshot above to pinpoint its location.
Okay, so the second screenshot shows exactly what I was looking for – some journals piled up on a little bed. I knew I was in the right place because the prompt was in yellow and said, “Search for journals.” All I had to do was click on the journals to pick them up, as long as I had enough space in my bag!
Celeste’s Journals: South Swamp Outpost Location
West Of Water Treatment Control
You can easily find Celeste’s second journal because the quest log gives you the exact location: the South Swamp Outpost. It’s located just west of the Water Treatment Control building. If you start at the south side of Dam Battlegrounds, this journal is probably the easiest to get first, but you can complete the objectives in any order. Watch out for ARC enemies, like Leapers, which frequently appear near Water Treatment Control and the elevator.
You’ll find this journal in the same spot as the one at Raider Outpost East: on top of a cot inside the outpost. It’s marked with yellow text to show it’s part of a quest. After collecting both journals, return to Speranza and talk to Celeste to claim your reward. Completing the “Celeste’s Journals” quest is usually easiest on the Dam Battlegrounds map in ARC Raiders, as it generally has fewer robots patrolling.
