Tzuyang, a popular Korean YouTuber, had to get surgery because years of making mukbang videos severely damaged her teeth.
Tzuyang is a well-known YouTuber from South Korea who creates mukbang videos – videos of her eating large amounts of food. She has gained a large following, with over 12.7 million subscribers to her main channel.
This creator’s videos are incredibly popular, often getting millions of views. She’s been making mukbang content—videos of herself eating large amounts of food—since 2020 or earlier.
All that eating has unfortunately harmed her health, and Tzuyang recently shared the serious effects in a video on her other social media account.

Korean YouTuber Tzuyang reveals she needed false teeth from eating so much
In a recent video documenting her visit to a manga cafe, the content creator revealed that her teeth aren’t real.
She explained that her teeth had become shorter from excessive wear and tear. After learning it was best to address the issue early, she opted for a procedure to prevent further damage. Doctors advised that letting her teeth wear down more would require even more extensive work later on, according to a translation from Koreaboo.
The YouTuber emphasized that she had the surgery for health reasons, not to change her appearance.
“I didn’t do it for beauty purposes. It was for health reasons!” she exclaimed. “Comments these days keep saying I had plastic surgery.”
This news follows Tzuyang’s recent admission that she consumes 30,000 calories daily, a statement she made last month on Shin Dong-yup’s program.
After someone mentioned that adult men typically eat 2,000 to 3,000 calories daily, the YouTuber pointed out that her drinks alone contain that many calories.

Sadly, there have been several cases of mukbang creators passing away due to health problems.
Efecan Kultur, a 24-year-old TikTok personality from Turkey, passed away in March 2025 due to health problems linked to obesity. He had stopped posting videos a few months prior.
On July 14, 2024, Chinese mukbang creator Pan Xiaoting tragically passed away while live streaming. She had been participating in several eating challenges, including a ten-hour continuous eating session without any breaks.
