DC fans have a new TV show to look forward to very soon, and it’s launching in a unique way. 2025 is almost here, and it’s been a great year for DC on television – and in movie theaters with the release of Superman. James Gunn’s DC Universe started streaming with the final episodes of Creature Commandos earlier this year, and Peacemaker Season 2 aired from August to October. Plus, fans also enjoyed the latest seasons of Harley Quinn (Season 5) and Teen Titans Go (Season 9).
Amazon has announced that all 10 episodes of DC’s new show, Bat-Fam, will be available to stream on Monday, November 10. This series continues the story from last year’s animated film, Merry Little Batman, which also debuted on Amazon Prime Video.
DC has launched just two streaming series based on their movies: the live-action show Peacemaker, which continues the story of The Suicide Squad, and The Penguin, a spin-off from The Batman. Both series originally aired one episode each week, though the first three episodes of Peacemaker Season 1 were released all at once in January 2022.
Although Bat-Fam might be DC’s last TV show to debut in 2025, there are still several other shows coming soon, and even more are currently being developed.
Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2

Besides Bat-Fam, another animated Batman series, Batman: Caped Crusader, is on the way, with Season 2 expected in 2026. Like this month’s show geared towards younger viewers, Caped Crusader originally started with HBO Max but now streams on Amazon Prime Video, where it premiered in August 2024.
Not much is known about the second season yet, except that a co-showrunner hinted it will offer a very different portrayal of the Joker. However, it’s expected to be released all at once, like Season 1 and the Bat-Fam series.
Lanterns

James Gunn’s DC Universe will continue with the live-action series Lanterns in early 2026, featuring Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as John Stewart.
DC Studios is working on several live-action TV shows, including Booster Gold, Waller, and Paradise Lost. However, even though these projects were revealed as part of James Gunn’s initial DC Universe plans, they haven’t progressed much and are still being written, nearly three years after the announcement.
Creature Commandos Season 2

DC Universe’s initial TV series, Creature Commandos, is getting a second season, even before the first season has finished airing. While there’s no release date yet, the writers are already working on new episodes – developing the plot and writing scripts. However, James Gunn won’t be involved in writing Season 2.
Mister Miracle

Tom King, a well-known writer from DC Comics, is leading the creation of an animated series called Mister Miracle. The show, geared towards adults, is based on his popular 12-issue comic book about Scott Free, a superhero known for escaping any situation, and his powerful wife, Big Barda. It’s currently unknown if the series, planned for HBO Max, will take place within the new DC Universe, but it will feature Darkseid – a major villain from the Justice League and Scott Free’s adoptive father – and explore his quest for the dangerous ‘anti-life equation’.
My Adventures with Superman Season 3

I’m so thrilled to hear Jack Quaid, who’s amazing as Hughie in The Boys, is bringing his voice back as young Clark Kent for Season 3 of My Adventures with Superman! Even better, the season is already being finished up – it’s “in post-production” – so we might get to see it before the end of the year, which is fantastic news!
My Adventures with Green Lantern

Besides James Gunn’s new DC Universe, another superhero project is developing at the studio: My Adventures with Green Lantern. The series will introduce Jessica Cruz, a high school student, as the Green Lantern, and fans are excited about the possibility of her eventually teaming up with Jack Quaid’s Superman.
Starfire

DC Studios approved three animated series aimed at families as part of its Elseworlds line earlier this year, and one of those series will focus on Starfire. The popular Teen Titans character will star in her own story, showing how she finds an ancient spaceship and embarks on a journey to explore the furthest corners of the DC universe.
Teen Titans Go! Season 10

After nearly ten years, Teen Titans Go! is continuing its run with a renewal for Season 10. This makes it only the second DC television series, following Smallville, to reach this milestone. Fans can still enjoy the playful adventures of Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, Raven, and Beast Boy, especially since the planned live-action Teen Titans movie recently faced a delay.
BONUS.) Harley Quinn Season 6

Many viewers are still hoping Harley Quinn will return for a sixth season. While the show hasn’t been officially renewed since its last episodes aired from January to March, one of its creators recently shared some interesting ideas about where the story could go, even before any decision about its future is made.
BONUS.) Blue Beetle

While the Blue Beetle movie didn’t perform strongly enough in theaters to guarantee another film, the story will continue as an animated series. Xolo Maridueña, who played Jaime Reyes, will return to voice the character, and the follow-up is currently aiming for a release sometime next year, though DC Studios hasn’t officially confirmed this yet.
