The last season of the show will arrive on Netflix November 26th. First debuting in 2016, the series has seen its cast, including Millie Bobby Brown (who plays Eleven), navigate the difficulties of growing up while also working in the spotlight.
Over the first four seasons of Stranger Things, Eleven has matured significantly and learned to control her telekinetic abilities. Actress Millie Brown believes everything that’s happened so far has been building towards the show’s conclusion, and she’s particularly prepared physically for the challenges ahead. She feels the creators, the Duffer brothers, have been preparing her for this all along.
Brown explained that her character has faced many difficult emotional challenges over the years, and she’s shared emotional moments – and tears – with most of her co-stars. However, in Season 5, Brown said it was rewarding to play Eleven as someone who could help others, not just with her powers, but also because of her strength and the physical training she’d undergone.
“It was a lot of fun,” Brown said. “I really got into the spirit of things, like Tom Cruise!” She also hinted at what’s to come in the next season, explaining, “I think Season One just gives a glimpse of all the training her character has done, and I can’t wait for viewers to see where it goes.”
Stranger Things Season 5 Updates
I’ve been following the news about the final season of Stranger Things, and it’s been a bit unsettling. It seems there were some issues on set involving David Harbour, who plays Hopper, and Millie Bobby Brown, who I adore as Eleven. From what I understand, Millie didn’t accuse David of anything serious, but she did say he was unkind and bothered her. Thankfully, she had someone with her for support while filming the last scenes, which is good to hear. It’s just sad to think something like that happened on a show we all enjoy so much.
Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour appeared to be on good terms at the recent Stranger Things premiere. Brown described having a close, father-daughter relationship with Harbour, as they work together on almost every scene. She shared how much she’s valued having him as a part of her journey. Harbour, in turn, expressed his affection for Brown and praised the entire cast, noting how proud he was to see them develop as artists. He emphasized the deep connection they all share through this special project.
Frank Darabont, the creator of The Walking Dead and director of The Shawshank Redemption, is returning to directing. He directed two episodes in Season 5 and recently hinted that those episodes will feature hidden references, or “Easter eggs,” to Stephen King’s work. He revealed that a short clip from one of his earliest films will appear as a nod to his beginnings. The Shawshank Redemption itself was originally based on a story by King.
Stranger Things Season 5 will premiere on Netflix on Nov. 26.
