Kim Kardashian revealed she didn’t pass the latest bar exam, but she’s staying positive and continuing to work towards becoming a lawyer.
Kim Kardashian, 45, shared an update on Instagram about her law studies. She joked that she’s currently just ‘playing’ a lawyer, but thanked everyone for their support and vowed to keep trying until she passes the bar exam. She confirmed she’s still fully committed to becoming a lawyer.
Generally, most U.S. states, including California where Kim Kardashian is preparing to take it, don’t restrict how many times someone can retake the bar exam. However, a few states like South Dakota and Virginia limit attempts to between three and five tries.

Failing the bar exam won’t stop Kim K
After six years of law school, she remains fully committed to passing the bar exam. She’s determined to succeed through hard work and won’t give up. Even though she narrowly missed passing the exam this time, she sees it not as a failure, but as motivation to keep going.
This update follows Kim Kardashian’s recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, where she mentioned she was awaiting her bar exam results and hoped to qualify as a lawyer soon. She also shared a humorous story about using ChatGPT for legal help, jokingly blaming the AI chatbot for her poor test performance and calling it a “toxic friend” in a lie detector test.
Kim Kardashian started studying law in 2018 through a California program that allows on-the-job training. She passed a preliminary exam in 2021, and despite some challenges, she’s continuing to work towards becoming a fully qualified lawyer. She’s even said she hopes to eventually transition from her public persona as ‘Kim K’ and pursue a career as a trial lawyer.
