The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a movie version of Richard O’Brien’s 1973 stage musical. In the story, an engaged couple, Brad (played by Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), have car trouble in a secluded area and wind up at a bizarre party at Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s castle – portrayed on screen for the first time by Tim Curry. This film is an eccentric mix of comedy, horror, and music that has maintained a dedicated fan base since its release in 1975, which remains strong to this day.
