Arc Raiders Players Receiving In-Game Compensation For Server Struggles

Embark Studios is giving 500 Raider Tokens to players who logged into Arc Raiders on November 2nd, as an apology for the server issues experienced over the weekend.

So, Arc Raiders had a bit of a server hiccup on Sunday, but wow, it was because so many of us were playing! The official account announced they’re giving us some in-game goodies to make up for it, which is awesome. SteamDB said over 354,000 people were playing on Steam alone that day – a new record for the game! And that’s just on Steam, remember, it’s also available on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store, so the total number of players was probably way higher. It’s really cool to see the game breaking records, even with a few technical bumps!

Thanks for bearing with us while our servers experienced a brief issue on Sunday – it seems our mischievous mascot, Scrappy, may have caused a little trouble! As a small thank you, we’re giving 500 Raider Tokens to all Raiders who logged in that day.

Arc Raiders had some server problems when it launched on October 30th, but that’s common for online games with a lot of initial interest. The high player demand suggests Embark made a smart decision releasing the game between major titles like the next Battlefield and Call of Duty.

Embark has announced that Arc Raiders won’t include purely cosmetic or “novelty” skins, prioritizing a consistent visual style for the game. This approach comes as other shooters, like the upcoming Battlefield 6, have faced criticism for incorporating collaborative skins, and are now aiming for a more realistic look.

Arc Raiders is getting a content boost this month with a new map and quests in the North Line update. Plus, players can look forward to the Cold Snap update arriving in December.
