Ever notice how sports commentators like Cris Collinsworth and Joe Davis sometimes go off on tangents during NFL and MLB games? Well, that’s nothing compared to some bizarre commentary recently discovered from the old arcade game MLB Slugfest 2003.
One of the commentators jokingly mentioned during the game that they were eating smoked whale meat, adding that while they didn’t actually like it, they couldn’t help but keep eating it.
The game’s dialogue includes shockingly dark and disturbing content, with references to things like players getting intoxicated, commentators being hit by cars, sound technicians suffering electric shocks, and even families being killed. It’s completely outrageous and unsettling.
The Video Game History Foundation discovered some previously unheard dialogue while examining an old game CD. These lines were recorded but never actually included in the final game.
