Embark Studios is committed to continuing development on their popular new game, Arc Raiders. The game, an ‘extraction shooter’ that recently achieved the highest launch player count on Steam for its type, is expanding, and the developers have now shared a plan for its future updates.
The developers of Arc Raiders have shared their plans for the future of the game. Like many online shooters, Arc Raiders will be regularly updated to improve gameplay, fix bugs, and add new items like character customizations and challenges. They also plan to introduce changes to the game’s maps to keep things interesting.

The biggest news is about two upcoming updates, launching in November and December. The November update, called North Line, will add a brand-new map named Stella Montis, bringing the total number of maps in Arc Raiders to five. It will also include a community event where players work together to unlock rewards, along with new equipment and quests. Plus, players will face two new, massive robotic enemies called the Matriarch and Shredder.
In December, we’re releasing a new update called Cold Snap, perfectly timed for the winter holidays. This update introduces an arctic weather condition to the game, along with a special event called Flickering Flames. Players should get ready to compete against each other to survive the cold when the update arrives!
The updates will allow players to experience Quests in a fresh way, revisiting content that was changed with expansions, according to Embark. The December update, ‘Cold Snap,’ will include a ‘Raider Deck’ – Arc Raiders’ version of a battle pass – while the other update won’t.
