Silent Hill 2 Remake May Be Coming To Xbox Series X|S Soon

Rumors suggested that the upcoming remake of Silent Hill 2, developed by Bloober Team, would initially only be available on PlayStation 5 for a year after its release last October. That year has now passed, and a recent update to the game’s rating information suggests it will soon be released on Xbox Series X|S.

The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has updated the listing for Silent Hill 2 to confirm it’s coming to Xbox Series consoles. The game’s Mature rating remains unchanged, but neither Microsoft nor Konami have officially announced a release date or even confirmed the port yet. It’s currently unknown whether a physical copy of Silent Hill 2 will be available for Xbox, or if it will be a digital-only release.

Currently, the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) hasn’t listed Silent Hill 2 for the upcoming Switch 2 console. However, a release on the Switch 2 in the future isn’t impossible.

After the positive reception to Bloober Team’s remake of Silent Hill 2, Konami revealed that the studio is now developing a remake of the very first Silent Hill game. A release date for this new project hasn’t been announced yet.

Silent Hill f, the newest installment in the popular video game series, came out last month and has been well-received by critics.
