Playism and Daraneko Games announced that their RPG, The Use of Life, which is designed like an adventure book, will officially release on Steam next month, November 26th, after being in early access.
The game The Use of Life has been available in early access on Steam since 2022. It combines player choices with dice rolls, similar to tabletop role-playing games, and classic turn-based battles inspired by Japanese role-playing games. The price will increase to $19.99 when the full version releases.
The Use of Life exits early access and launches on November 26 for PC (Steam).

Playism is excited to announce that Daraneko’s adventure RPG, The Use of Life, is officially launching on November 26, 2025! After being available in Early Access, the full release will include all endings and achievements, giving players the complete game experience.
After three and a half years of development with help from our amazing community, we’ve carefully refined and expanded The Use of Life. We wanted to create a deeply engaging and polished game where your choices truly matter, battles are exciting, and finishing the game feels rewarding. This is the result of that effort.
Once the game is officially released, the price will increase to $19.99. If you’re excited to play, we recommend buying it during Early Access to get it at the current, lower price before the change!
