Best Keybinds And Mouse Settings In Arc Raiders

PC players of Arc Raiders will find extra options in the settings menus that aren’t available on consoles. Right from the start, you can customize your keybinds and mouse settings, which can significantly improve how you play the game.

You can play Arc Raiders with the default settings, but customizing them could give you an edge over other players. To help you get the best experience, check out the guide below – it’s one of our top recommendations for Arc Raiders.

Best keybinds in Arc Raiders

Let’s talk about controls first, as you’ll find them right at the beginning of the settings menu. Arc Raiders keeps things simple with keybinds, unlike many other games in this genre. You likely won’t need to change much, but customizing a few key actions can be vital for surviving battles.

Below, you can see all of the keybinds and our recommended settings for each one in Arc Raiders:

  • Move Forward: W
  • Move Backward: S
  • Move Left: A
  • Move Right: D
  • Fire / Throw / Display: Left Mouse Button
  • Aim: Right Mouse Button
  • Jump: Space Bar
  • Sprint (Hold): Left Shift
  • Crouch (Hold): Left Ctrl or C
  • Crouch (Toggle): Left Ctrl or C
  • Dodge Roll: Mouse Button 4/5 or Left Alt if you have no mouse buttons
  • Walk (Toggle): V
  • Interact: E or F (depending on preference)
  • Reload Weapon: R
  • Shoulder Swap: X
  • Weapon 1: 1
  • Weapon 2: 2
  • Melee Weapon: 3
  • Unarmed/Holster Weapon: 4
  • Next Weapon: Mouse Wheel Up
  • Previous Weapon: Mouse Wheel Down
  • Items: Q
  • Flashlight: E or F (depending on your Interact keybind)
  • Access Inventory: Tab
  • Map: M or Caps Lock
  • Ping: Middle Mouse Button
  • Emote: G
  • Push to Talk: T
  • Push to Talk (Proximity Chat): B
  • Ping Heard By/Emote Loudness: H

We mostly kept the default controls in Arc Raiders the same, but we did give you options for a few that we adjusted. For instance, the dodge roll works best with a side mouse button, but you can also use the Left Alt key. We also changed the key for switching to unarmed combat to ‘4’, making it easier to remember alongside the number keys already used for your weapons.

Best mouse settings in Arc Raiders

Let’s talk about mouse settings in Arc Raiders. They mainly involve adjusting how sensitive your mouse is. For even more customization, open the software that came with your mouse. This will let you adjust things like DPI, turn off features that automatically adjust mouse movement, and create custom button shortcuts.

Below, you can see our recommended mouse settings in Arc Raiders:

  • Invert Vertical Look Input: Off
  • Horizontal Sensitivity: 65-70
  • Vertical Sensitivity: 50
  • Zoom Sensitivity Multiplier: 75%
  • Scoped Zoom Sensitivity Multiplier: 85%

We increased the horizontal sensitivity by 15 to 20 percent from its original setting. This makes it easier to quickly turn around when someone is shooting at you from behind, or to react to fast-moving threats before they can get you.

We’ve made aiming more precise by reducing how quickly the zoom changes when you aim. The adjustment is noticeable, but not extreme. While scoped, you’ll still be able to move your view fairly quickly, but it won’t be so fast that you accidentally move past your target while trying to line up a shot.

You’ll probably need to adjust these sensitivity settings to match your mouse’s DPI. It’s best to get your DPI set up first before tweaking the settings in Arc Raiders. If your DPI is already comfortable, use these values as a starting point and adjust them until they feel right for you.
