Cyrene is a character you can play in Honkai: Star Rail who specializes in supporting other characters, particularly those with the Chrysos Heir or Remembrance designations. While she can provide benefits to any teammate, she excels at boosting the performance of those specific types. Here are some of the best team compositions for Cyrene in HSR to maximize her potential.
Cyrene Team Comp In HSR – Honkai: Star Rail
Honestly, it’s a bit of a bummer seeing how Cyrene’s treated in Honkai: Star Rail. She really needs that E2 upgrade to shine and actually compete with the other characters. While E2 is ideal, you can still make some decent teams with her at E0. So, I’ve been figuring out the best team comps for Cyrene in HSR, and here they are!
- Cyrene’s team for Castorice: Cyrene + Castorice + Hyacine + Evernight
- Cyrene’s team for Aglaea: Cyrene + Aglaea + Sunday + Dan Heng PT
- Cyrene’s team for Phainon: E2 Cyrene + Phainon + Cerydra + Dan Heng PT
Cyrene + Castorice + Hyacine + Evernight
Castorice, Hyacine, and Evernight work incredibly well together and are considered one of the strongest teams in Honkai: Star Rail. Even without any team member being fully leveled up, Cyrene complements Castorice perfectly. Her special ability, Memosprite, constantly exchanges HP based on Cyrene’s total health, which makes it easier for Castorice to use her powerful Ultimate move. Plus, this team focuses on characters with the ‘Remembrance’ trait, and Cyrene’s unique role as a ‘Chrysos Heir’ boosts her abilities and helps her charge her Ultimate even faster.
Cyrene doesn’t just boost damage; she enhances how Castorice and Evernight play. She helps Castorice gather extra resources, which then power up Evernight’s damage output. Cyrene also directly increases Evernight’s damage and critical hit damage, significantly improving her overall performance. Because these benefits last the whole fight, Cyrene can then focus on boosting Hyacine for the remainder of the battle.
Cyrene + Aglaea + Sunday + Dan Heng PT
It takes a bit longer to prepare Cyrene’s Ultimate because her team is missing a specific character. However, the powerful combination of Aglaea and Sunday more than makes up for this delay. Once Cyrene uses her Ultimate to boost both Aglaea and Dan Heng PT, their damage output significantly increases. Cyrene’s unique buff especially enhances Aglaea’s speed and allows her to bypass a lot of enemy defense, resulting in much higher damage. This buff also improves Dan Heng PT’s performance. After the initial use of her Ultimates, it’s most effective to focus on buffing Aglaea consistently.
This team centers around Aglaea, pairing her with Dan Heng’s Souldragon and her Memosprite. Sunday then repeatedly boosts their abilities, along with the significant buffs Cyrene provides to both Aglaea and her Memosprite. Because each team member increases the overall damage output, Dan Heng PT effectively shields the team, ensuring they can consistently perform well.
This HSR team can be tricky because Aglaea might not generate enough Energy before her Memosprite vanishes if Huohuo isn’t present. To fix this, players need to either build both Aglaea and Sunday to be very fast, or upgrade Aglaea to E1.
E2 Cyrene + Phainon + Cerydra + Dan Heng PT
Cyrene significantly boosts Phainon, essentially turning him into a powerful unit for the whole fight in Honkai: Star Rail. However, at Eidolon 0, Cyrene actually lowers the team’s overall damage output. Her Ultimate ability takes too long to charge, which hurts performance in challenging content. Thankfully, unlocking her second Eidolon solves this problem by quickly building up the stacks needed for her Ultimate. With her second Eidolon, Cyrene can activate Phainon’s Ultimate form right away and keep him there for the duration of the battle.
With E2 Cyrene maximizing Phainon’s Ultimate, characters who speed up his turn, such as Bronya in Honkai: Star Rail, aren’t necessary. Instead, include Cerydra, who excels with Phainon and can consistently trigger his powerful Meteor attack twice, significantly increasing its damage. Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae is also a great choice because his Souldragon connects with Phainon, dealing damage based on Phainon’s boosted stats – which will be incredibly high in his final form.
Players can also choose Mydei over Phainon, and replace Dan Heng with Hyacine if they prefer.
