I was heartbroken when Arcane finished after just two seasons, but I think I’ve found something new to love in the game Dispatch! Arcane really captured me with the story of Vi and Jinx, especially Vi – Hailee Steinfeld absolutely nailed the role of that tough, confident fighter. I was so invested in her journey, and it felt like the show wrapped things up for her in Season 2. I’m still hoping Riot and Netflix might bring her story back somehow, maybe with a spin-off, but for now, I’m excited to see a character who reminds me of her in Dispatch!
Players have spotted a new character in AdHoc’s episodic superhero game, Dispatch, who strongly resembles Vi. A post on X comparing the Z Team member Invisigal (voiced by Laura Bailey) to Vi has become popular, and the similarities are easy to see.
Invisigal and Vi have similar character designs, both sporting a short, choppy haircut with an undercut. Invisigal’s pink cropped jacket also echoes the style of Vi’s iconic red jacket from the show Arcane.

The two characters share similar personalities. Like Vi in Arcane, Invisigal is quick to act and often resorts to fighting, and she also has a sarcastic wit. We’ve already seen this in the first two episodes of Dispatch, where she physically assaulted her supervisor, Robert Robertson, openly disobeyed him during missions, and constantly made snarky comments.
I’m really fascinated by Invisigal, another character voiced by Vi’s actress, Laura Bailey, in Arcane. Bailey actually described her as someone who puts up a front – a real ‘mask’ – and pushes people away before they can even try to hurt her. It’s heartbreaking, but it explains so much about her actions!
Laura Bailey believes her character, Invisigal, is her own worst enemy in some ways. Invisigal puts up a tough front to protect herself, acting defensively to avoid getting hurt. Bailey enjoys portraying the moments when that protective facade cracks, allowing the character’s vulnerability to show. She feels player choices can really impact Invisigal, helping her realize she’s not beyond redemption.

Both characters have similar pasts: Invisigal is a known criminal with a record of theft and violence, while Vi has also spent time in prison, though she was wrongly accused. They’re both seen as outsiders – Invisigal is stuck on the Z Team, and Vi faces discrimination because she comes from the Undercity.
If you enjoyed Vi from Arcane and are looking for a similar character, you’ll likely love Invisigal in Dispatch. While they aren’t exactly the same, both characters have distinct qualities that make them special.
Fans of Arcane might also enjoy Dispatch. This game, set in a Los Angeles filled with superheroes, is similar to shows like The Boys and Invincible. It’s structured like a narrative TV series, with high-quality animation and a cast of compelling, original characters that will appeal to Arcane viewers.
Is There A Future for Vi After Arcane?

I’m a big Vi fan, and while Invisigal is cool for now, it’s not quite what we’re all hoping for after finishing Arcane. That finale really wrapped up Vi’s story – we saw her dealing with the heartbreak of seemingly losing Jinx, but also saw her find some peace and continue building a life and relationship with Caitlyn in Piltover. It felt like a real ending, and we’re all craving more!
This might be the last time fans see Vi in animated form. The series finale felt like a fitting, though somewhat sad, conclusion to her story, while still connecting to her established background in the game League of Legends. Fans who want to continue following Vi can do so through League of Legends, which regularly receives new updates and content. However, it’s unclear if Arcane will continue Vi’s story in future seasons.
Riot Games intends to expand its television presence with more shows set in the Arcane universe. While future series will likely introduce new characters and explore different parts of Runeterra, there’s a possibility Vi and Caitlyn could reappear. Since they both survived the events of Arcane and continue working in Piltover, their involvement depends on the direction Riot takes with its upcoming shows.
