Twitch quickly restored the channels of streamers Nina Lin and Zoe Spencer after they were temporarily suspended. The suspension followed viewer concerns about an old video clip showing an interaction with FaZe Silky’s assistant, Said, which many viewers felt was inappropriate and lacked consent.
The situation began with a May 2024 livestream showing Lin and Spencer holding Said down on a bed as he attempted to leave. A clip from that stream resurfaced in late October 2025, quickly gaining attention online and leading to criticism of Twitch and its policies regarding inappropriate behavior.
After the video started gaining popularity again, both creators were suspended from Twitch on October 24th, though Twitch didn’t publicly state why.
The next day, Zoe and then Nina had their accounts reinstated. This quick reversal of the bans has led to complaints from both streamers and viewers, who feel it demonstrates a lack of fairness and consistency in how the rules are applied.
Said speaks out on unbanning
Said himself has described the unbanning as “just unreal.”

People have pointed out that this ban is much shorter than those given to other streamers. For instance, IShowSpeed was banned for two years after making inappropriate comments to Ash Kash, which Twitch considered a form of sexual harassment and intimidation.
On October 24th, Nina Lin apologized for her involvement in the incident, taking responsibility for her actions. She explained, “I realize now that what I did was wrong. At the time, I honestly thought it was a joke and that he was laughing along, but I now understand it was inappropriate and made him uncomfortable. It was clearly a mistake.”
Nina Lin has apologized for how she and Zoe Spencer treated Faze Silky’s assistant, Said, after both received a ban from Twitch. She acknowledged their actions were inappropriate and that Said was clearly made uncomfortable by them.

Zoe Spencer hasn’t publicly addressed the issue. FaZe Silky’s assistant, Said, mentioned on X (formerly Twitter) that he planned to release a statement, but he hasn’t done so yet.
Twitch hasn’t publicly explained the ban or why it was lifted. The company generally doesn’t discuss specific violations of its rules to protect user privacy. TopMob has contacted Twitch for a statement.
