HoYoverse announced that a major update, Version 3.7 titled “As Tomorrow Became Yesterday,” is coming to Honkai: Star Rail on November 5th. This update will conclude the game’s current story arc, the Amphoreous saga. Players will face a final challenge and gain access to a new character, Cyrene. The update also includes tough new enemies and special events offering exciting rewards and adventures.

Throughout the Amphoreous story, the Astral Express team gained powerful new abilities by inheriting the Titan Coreflames, linking their fates to Amphoreous. Now, they’re joining forces with the Chrysos Heirs to face Irontomb – a terrifying enemy threatening time itself, and the biggest challenge Amphoreous has ever seen. But the conflict isn’t limited to familiar battles, as hidden forces are awakening. With the entire universe at risk, powerful groups can’t stay neutral. Driven by the courage of the Trailblazers and the insight of brilliant minds, a powerful Cosmic Alliance is beginning to form.

The climactic battle will take place in the desolate “Ruins of Time,” a wasteland of drifting gravel and a seemingly endless horizon. Long ago, when Irontomb’s power unexpectedly awakened, Phainon used all his energy to contain it. The Trailblazer can witness evidence of this – a massive sword plunged into the planet’s core and a statue of Phainon himself. He created three layers of magical seals, intending for his allies to eventually break them and finally defeat Irontomb together.

In the climactic final battle, Cyrene becomes a playable character. She’s been with the Trailblazers throughout their journey, and in Version 3.7, she’ll finally share her hidden past and the truth behind her mysteries with the Trailblazer she trusts most.

Cyrene is a powerful 5-star Ice-type character who boosts the damage of the entire team. Her special ability creates a zone that adds extra, powerful damage with every hit. She also grows stronger as her teammates act, building up a power called “Recollection.” Once full, she can unleash her Ultimate, reaching her peak strength.

When Cyrene uses her Ultimate for the first time, it instantly activates the Ultimates of all her allies and makes her damage zone permanent. She also summons a special helper called “memosprite Cyrene,” who can further enhance a teammate – with even greater effects for Chrysos Heir characters. This memosprite can either boost allies or deal damage to enemies, helping the team secure victory.

The latest update introduces “Currency Wars,” a brand-new, ongoing game mode. Players can build teams of up to ten characters, strategically dividing them between active combat roles and support positions. Characters who share a combat type or faction will activate powerful “Bond” effects, enhancing the team’s overall strength. At launch, 61 characters will be playable with a free trial. Like the “Divergent Universe” mode, “Currency Wars” will offer regular rewards alongside challenge-based prizes, and will continue to evolve with new content and ways to progress.

I’m so hyped for this new update! They’re adding a really fun event called “Snack Dash” where we get to watch Madam Ruan Mei’s adorable creations race through obstacle courses – it sounds super creative! Plus, we’re finally getting “Trailblaze Fashion” which means even more ways to customize our characters. They’re even giving away a free headpiece, the “Deliverer’s Wreath,” just for finishing the main story quests! And to top it all off, there’s a new animated short called “Hello, World” and a song, “Ripples of Past Reverie,” that will wrap up the story from the last seven versions and give us a proper ending to the Amphoreus saga. It’s going to be amazing!
