Okay, so Marvel Cosmic Invasion is dropping on December 1st, and I’m hyped because they just announced two more characters! Now we can play as Phoenix and Iron Man alongside the other heroes like Captain America, She-Hulk, Wolverine, and Spider-Man. That brings the total playable roster up to 15! From what I’ve seen, Phoenix is all about powerful telekinetic attacks, and Iron Man’s bringing some seriously advanced tech to wipe out enemies. It’s gonna be awesome!
Marvel Cosmic Invasion, first shown at Summer Game Fest, puts Earth’s heroes against Annihilus, who is attempting a galactic takeover. The game is developed by Dotemu, known for previously creating the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge for computers and consoles.
This new Marvel game is built around classic beat-’em-up gameplay, with each character having their own special moves. A unique feature called Cosmic Swap lets you combine heroes’ powers for powerful team attacks. Visually, the game uses a pixel-art style reminiscent of old-school Marvel arcade games, similar to the look of TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox Series X|S and One, and Nintendo Switch.
Marvel fans got a great look at gameplay for the upcoming Wolverine game recently. Insomniac, the game’s developer, showed that this version of the popular X-Man will be quite violent and gritty. Although there’s no confirmed release date, the studio is currently targeting a launch in the third quarter of 2026.
