Fans have completely revamped The Simpsons Hit & Run, turning it into a Futurama game! The mod lets you explore the world of the show, set in the futuristic city of New New York.
The modding group Slurm Team has rebuilt the 2003 game Futurama Hit & Run, replacing the original setting with a detailed 3D version of Planet Express headquarters, the city, and nearby areas.
The game has been completely redesigned with characters, vehicles, and missions inspired by Futurama, making it feel more like a new Futurama experience than just a visual update to an existing game.
Free demo now playable
This free demo lets players experience the world of Futurama as Fry! You can drive hovercars around New New York, revisit iconic locations, and even help Professor Farnsworth with his tasks.
The mod project impressed Joe McGinn, the lead designer of the original The Simpsons Hit & Run game. He left a comment on the trailer praising the work, saying, “As the lead designer of the original game, I can only say… this looks awesome! I want to play it!”
Despite the original Hit & Run being a success with players, a sequel was never made. In 2023, the game’s creators expressed their surprise about this, given how popular the first game had been.
