It can be hard to earn money at the beginning of Escape From Duckov, but there are a few fast ways to make some cash.
Escape From Duckov is a recently released top-down shooter from Team Soda that’s quickly become popular on Steam. Since launching on October 16th, it’s attracted a large player base, even surpassing games like Call of Duty and Stardew Valley in peak concurrent players.
Don’t be misled by its unusual look – this game can be really challenging. Money is scarce, which makes upgrading your equipment difficult.
If you’re new here, here are a few simple tips to help you start earning money quickly.
Don’t be afraid to sell
You’ll primarily earn money by selling items you find during each playthrough, but deciding what to keep and sell can be tricky. Generally, only hold onto items that are essential for survival or that you’ll need to create something new.
If you’re collecting a lot of small items, don’t worry about holding onto them just in case you might need them later. It’s better to sell them at the Vending Machine, because you can always find more later on.
Just remember to know what you’re trying to achieve and what items you need before you start. It’s frustrating to throw something away only to realize you need it and have to go back and find it again.
What not to sell
It’s a good idea to always keep at least one full stack of essential resources like ammunition or wood. You’ll use these items frequently for both fighting and making things, so it’s best to hold onto them instead of selling, even if you don’t need them immediately.
If you find something that isn’t ammunition or a key item for making things, like a small decoration, you can safely sell it without worrying about it later.
Complete quests
It seems simple, but completing quests is a great way to earn money. Early in the game, these quests are usually easy – things like crafting a Workbench or using a health potion.
Honestly, these little side quests give you quick cash for stuff that’s usually pretty simple, so I always try to knock them out ASAP. It really helps get my economy going. Some only give around 500, but hey, every little bit counts, right?
Sell duplicate items
It’s understandable to want to hold onto extra weapons, just in case, but you’ll usually get more benefit from selling them. Weapons, particularly rare ones, are worth a lot, and they don’t do you any good just taking up space in your inventory.
The same applies to armor. Having one set – and perhaps a spare – is helpful, but there’s no need to collect a huge amount of identical pieces.
In Escape From Duckov, you need money for pretty much everything – improving your gear, making items, and learning new abilities. Therefore, earning cash is generally the most effective way to progress.
Easy cash farm
Earning money through gameplay and trading is the most rewarding approach, but if you’re willing to put in the time, you can also consistently earn it through repetitive tasks.
Start a new game and immediately turn right as you leave the starting bunker. You’ll find a box with a weapon – it’s usually a basic one. Grab the gun, then go straight back inside the bunker to restart the game.
Keep collecting items until your inventory is full, then go to the Vending Machine to sell them. You’ll earn about 40 money per weapon, but you can do this quickly and repeatedly—even without battling enemies.
Don’t expect to get rich quick, but this is a simple and effective way to earn some initial money and begin your journey in Escape From Duckov.
