As a movie lover, I’m thrilled to share that Netflix has unveiled the first teaser and several captivating snapshots for “Wednesday” Season 2! The second installment, featuring the talented Jenna Ortega, is scheduled to air in two parts on August 6 and September 3. I can hardly wait!
As per the official summary, the series focuses on Wednesday Addams’ time as a student where she endeavors to hone her developing psychic powers, prevent a series of murders, and unravel the mystery connected to her parents.
In the second season, Ortega resumes her role as Wednesday Addams, the main character. Alongside her are Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene), Georgie Farmer (Ajax), Victor Dorobantu (Thing), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Deputy Ritchie Santiago), Jamie McShane (Sheriff Donovan Galpin) and Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester).
Delighted to share that Season 2 welcomes me to the regular cast alongside esteemed artists such as Steve Buscemi, known for his exceptional work in “The Big Lebowski”, Billie Piper from “Scoop”, Evie Templeton of “Return to Silent Hill”, Owen Painter from “The Handmaid’s Tale”, and Noah Taylor, who graced our screens in “Park Avenue”.
Joining us in guest roles are legends like Christopher Lloyd from “The Addams Family”, Joanna Lumley of “Absolutely Fabulous”, Thandiwe Newton from “Westworld”, Frances O’Connor of “The Twelve”, Haley Joel Osment of “Somebody I Used to Know”, Heather Matarazzo of “The Princess Diaries”, and Joonas Suotamo from “The Acolyte”.
Adding even more intrigue, the multitalented Lady Gaga will be taking on an enigmatic role in our upcoming season. Can’t wait for you all to see it!
In the role of director, Tim Burton will join forces with Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson. The co-creators of “Wednesday”, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, assume the roles of showrunners and executive producers. Alongside Burton, Ortega, Natalie Testa, Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Tommy Harper, Karen Richards, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman, Gail Berman, and Meredith Averill also take on the roles of executive producers. The production company responsible for this project is MGM Television.
