During the Galaxies Gaming Showcase, both Ysbryd Games and Necrosoft Games revealed a new trailer for their upcoming strategy role-playing game titled “Demonschool.” The trailer indicated that the game’s release has been postponed to summer 2025.

Today, Necrosoft Games revealed that Demonschool has experienced delays before, but according to their Creative Director, Brandon Sheffield, the team has now successfully molded Demonschool into the game they initially intended to make following several setbacks.

Starting Summer 2025, Demon School will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms including Steam and Epic.

Necrosoft Games’ and Ysbryd Games’ RPG titled Demonschool begins its academic year on PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in Q3 of 2025. The game, a blend of school life tactics, elements from Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and Italian horror cinema, was showcased today during the Galaxies Gaming Showcase.

Spend a semester braved at a mysteriously haunted island university as fearless freshman Faye, the sole remaining practitioner of demon hunting from a renowned lineage. Witness the unexplained in joint investigations with newly found companions, fight against possessed individuals, demons, and other eerie entities in turn-based combat, and lock away these monstrosities before the human world is irrevocably swallowed by darkness.

Engage in combat against demonic entities and leaders reminiscent of ’60s and ’70s Italian horror films and Japanese horror manga, as the dimensions of 2D and 3D intertwine, bathed in the neon colors synonymous with RPG titans such as Shin Megami Tensei and Persona. Develop tactics akin to chess on a strategic board similar to Into the Breach, and devise strategies to vanquish the most fearsome denizens of Hell.

Plan strategies during the Preparation stage, leveraging each team member’s abilities for optimal results. Re-evaluate and adjust actions as needed to ensure a smooth transition. Proceed to the Execution phase where all attacks, healing, and special skills are launched concurrently. Construct exciting combos when characters interact, fostering unity within your combat group.

Form alliances with 15 unique characters, each offering special talents to enhance your squad. Dart past foes to weaken or stun them using Namako’s swift moves, while Ti delivers powerful rock-based attacks. Enhance your team by managing class timetables, training, extracurricular activities, and side missions – all while keeping a high academic record.
