Originally commissioned for release in July 2024, the ensemble comedy “Adults” centers around five friends in their twenties as they navigate life in New York City. The series offers a humorous take on the trials and tribulations of navigating adulthood, with its characters encountering a variety of challenges such as climbing the career ladder, dealing with healthcare issues, hosting social events, and dating in the digital age. The official description suggests that “the show takes a slightly exaggerated look at the triumphs, failures, and embarrassments that come with entering adulthood. From tackling professional ambitions to figuring out the complexities of the healthcare system, hosting successful dinner parties, or navigating modern dating, these friends are learning that reality can be far from straightforward, and their good intentions often lead to unexpected complications.
This television show features Malik Elassal, Lucy Freyer, Jack Innanen, Amita Rao, and Owen Thiele as its main stars. Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw are the creators of the series and act as executive producers. Additionally, Nick Kroll, Stefani Robinson, Sarah Naftalis, Jonathan Krisel, and Alicia Van Couvering all hold executive producer roles. Kroll and Van Couvering serve under their Good at Business production company, while Robinson does so through her FX overall deal. The series is produced by FX Productions.
