After debuting in 2019, this series has since accumulated an impressive total of 13 Emmy Awards from a possible 15 nominations. In the most recent awards ceremony, it was nominated yet again for the category of best short form animated program – a title that the first two seasons also claimed victories in. In Season 3’s “Jibaro” episode, Alberto Mielgo received the Emmy Award for outstanding individual achievement in animation, having been honored by the jury.

Over time, the series has attracted well-known voice talents such as Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel McHale, Topher Grace, John DiMaggio, Elodie Young, and Chris Parnell.

2021 saw Miller expressing his thoughts at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival: “It appeared to me there was a scarcity of adult-oriented animation in the Western world, specifically in America, and especially at budget levels capable of producing top-tier CG similar to Pixar and DreamWorks’ productions for children. We felt it was high time to create such content tailored for adults.
