PS Fans Beware: Fake ‘Schedule 1’ Ripoff Spotted on Store! Is ‘Dope Empire’ Next Big Scam?

After the achievement of Schedule 1 on Steam, it was only a matter of time before similar games emerged on other platforms. Now, following the announcement of “Schedule 1 Syndicate,” another clone has surfaced on PlayStation.

To the astonishment of nearly everyone, Schedule 1 has emerged as one of the most popular games in 2025. Exclusively available on PC, this game allows you to assume the role of an up-and-coming crime boss, aiming to transform a humble motel room into a sprawling empire with a vast network of associates and clients.

Since its arrival in late March, gamers on various platforms have eagerly anticipated its console launch. However, as of now, the sole developer has been dedicating efforts towards enhancing and refining the PC version exclusively.

Meanwhile, it seems that imitators are emerging across various platforms, starting with Schedule 1 Syndicate. Now, a new game that bears a striking resemblance has surfaced.

Schedule 1 copycat “Dope Empire” announced on PlayStation Store

On visiting the PlayStation Store, you’ll notice an upcoming game titled Schedule 1: Dope Empire listed under “Popular Games”. At this moment, you can’t purchase or pre-order it yet, but it has a projected release date within Q2 of 2025. You can, however, add it to your wishlist for future reference.

Upon initial observation, it might appear as if this is a rebranded console version of an existing game. However, upon closer examination, it’s evident that it has no connection whatsoever to the original.

The game’s narrative seems quite alike since it allows players to progress from a humble street-level character to a powerful criminal mastermind. Additionally, it offers the opportunity to create and enhance an extensive array of illicit substances, while also enabling the recruitment of dealers, chemists, and enforcers to maintain the operation’s smooth functioning.

The game is also based in Hyland Point, the same metropolis you’re free to roam around in the original version. It includes numerous snapshots demonstrating players preparing food items and managing illicit activities.

Instead, those who’ve experienced Schedule 1 might observe a significantly altered artistic style, with the characters lacking the distinctive wide-eyed appearance.

Moreover, it’s manufactured by Violarte sp. zo.o, a company that seems to have no connection whatsoever with the game developer, TVGS.

It seems doubtful that the imitation game will be sold, given that a similar counterfeit game, Schedule 1 Syndicate, has inexplicably disappeared from online stores. If it does somehow launch, gamers should understand that it’s not the same Schedule 1 that’s become popular on PC.
