Amazing Spider-Man #14 features writing by Joe Kelly, with art from Ed McGuinness and Todd Nauck. Mark Farmer and Wade Von Grawbadger provided the inks, with some inking also done by the artists themselves. Marcio Menyz and Erick Arciniega handled the coloring, and Joe Caramagna, who has been a consistent part of the Spider-Man comics for years, did the lettering. The story focuses on a conflict between the two characters currently taking on the roles of Spider-Man and Peter Parker.
Who suddenly gets airtime in Amazing Spider-Man out of nowhere?
This issue features Ben, as his superhero alter ego Chasm, teaming up with his girlfriend, Hallow’s Eve, in a fight against crime. This is one of the first times Hallow’s Eve has appeared prominently in the comic.
A possible love interest introduced for the new Spider-Man?
Ben was having lunch with his wife when Norman Osborn unexpectedly showed up, creating an uncomfortable situation. It seems Ben’s boss, Maira Osmani-Milton, might be developing a romantic connection with Norman, which is a smart plot twist. It looks like Joe Kelly had a good understanding of how to build tension and foreshadow events, and he definitely delivered here.
