Now that the drama surrounding Adriana and Julia’s relationship is behind us, this reunion ended on a rather dull, though acceptable, note. Let’s finish recapping it by focusing on everyone’s outfits, as I used to do. First up is Kiki Barth, who looks stunning in a turquoise gown reminiscent of classic Hollywood glamour – something many *Project Runway* contestants have attempted but never quite achieved. That’s exactly what we’d expect from Kiki, who always looks flawless. Next is Marysol, and I loved her ice-blue beaded gown with a strange, futuristic hoop around one shoulder – it reminded me of something Judy Jetson would wear. (Did that hoop seem to droop as the reunion went on, or was it just me?) She also deserves credit for showing off her knees, which became a talking point.
Julia is standing next to her, wearing a dress that matches in both color and fabric. It’s an odd thought – can a dress *have* a consistency? – but this one definitely did. A small scarf around her neck adds a touch of flair, making her look like an opera singer – which she isn’t, though she plays one on television. Larsa is definitely being Larsa, in a tight-fitting, pastel dress. It feels a bit young for her, and perhaps a little cheap, and it oddly makes her face look fuller than usual. She’s beautiful, but this outfit doesn’t quite work for me. Alexia, on the other hand, looks amazing in yellow – a great color, a flattering fit, and a perfect dress. Meanwhile, Todd is probably at home feeling jealous and reaching for lotion and tissues.
Andy looks great – his recent, slightly messy style and light-colored suit are perfect. Whoever styled him deserves credit! Unfortunately, he’s standing next to Stephanie, and her dress is… a lot. It’s a chaotic mix of prints, patterns, and embellishments, and frankly, it’s visually overwhelming. Moving on to Guerdy, her outfit resembles a Gamora costume from a discount Halloween store, and it’s incredibly unflattering. The color, fabric, and overall design just don’t work. Despite the questionable fashion choices, both Stephanie and Guerdy clearly put in effort with their makeup and hair.
Let’s talk about the last two really good dresses. Lisa’s is a sleek, steel-blue gown with a high slit – it’s flattering without being overdone, and importantly, looks great when she’s seated, which is key for a reunion. Then there’s Adriana, and thankfully she’s wearing a fantastic magenta sequined dress with floral details. It’s perfect for when the cameras are focused on her. It’s a little more casual than some of the other dresses, but the color looks amazing on her. Actually, looking at everything now, most of the women look fantastic at this reunion! My only complaint is the seating – that long, curved couch keeps them all so far apart, making it hard to have a conversation across the studio.
Honestly, the drama isn’t too intense because there isn’t a lot to it. Lisa is upset about losing her father, and she’s criticizing Alexia for throwing a party so soon after Alexia’s mother passed away – Alexia didn’t even bother to check in with her. A party right after a funeral? Seriously, give it at least a week. As Kiki rightly points out, they’re now comparing different people’s grief, which isn’t helpful. It’s okay to be upset with your friend, but everyone handles loss differently. I also think Lisa is wrong to attack Larsa for suggesting Jody was acting strangely, referencing his wide eyes. He showed up on TV with his friends and their odd secret code about the air conditioning, then acted surprised people noticed. That’s just what happens when you’re on a reality show. He could have easily taken a night off from his HVAC work if he wanted to protect his image as a trustworthy cooling system salesman.
I was also really disappointed when Andy brought up the claim that Marysol hired a private investigator to find damaging information about Dr. Nicole, supposedly to get a full-time spot on the show. Dr. Nicole made this claim on her podcast, but Marysol simply demanded proof and accused Dr. Nicole of trying to attract listeners. However, Dr. Nicole remains the most popular personality from the show, even though she wasn’t on this season. It feels like a missed chance for Andy to challenge Marysol, especially since people are finally noticing her manipulative behavior, and even the producers are taking notice.
The last part of this reunion feels repetitive and doesn’t really go anywhere. They ask Marysol and Alexia if they’re truly twins, but the questions are weak and their responses are unclear. There’s a bizarre moment where Kiki makes a very out-of-character comment about someone’s personal life while attempting to learn Spanish. An attempt to get Larsa and Lisa to reconcile feels pointless since they were already on good terms throughout the reunion. Guerdy shares an update on her cancer journey and promotes her book, Julia avoids explaining the issues with her daughters (and their dislike of Martina), and Stephanie still doesn’t understand why Marysol and Alexia didn’t want to fly with her – thankfully, she didn’t use the word “jetiquette” this time.
Okay, so things got a little emotional when Andy asked everyone to share something positive from this season. It was actually really sweet! Kiki said all of us on the couch feel like family – she even joked we’re like her husbands, always looking out for her! Julia admitted it was a tough season, but she got through it thanks to the support of the other women. Larsa just seemed happy to be hanging out with her friends and said she’s good as long as we all stick together. Stephanie said this whole experience has been amazing, and while it can’t replace her sisters, she feels like she’s gained a new sisterhood with the group. Alexia added that we all have each other’s backs, which is great to hear. And Marysol said she loves her job and being around people she cares about, even Adriana! It was a really nice moment, honestly.
What truly makes this show special is the genuine connection between the women. We often see “friend groups” on reality TV, but this feels different. These women are real friends – they’re close, constantly communicating, and spend time together even off-camera. I imagine there’s playful teasing, like a group chat dedicated to making fun of one person’s memes! While their strong bond might have made the reunion a little uneventful, I much prefer seeing them support each other than engage in drama and leave feeling resentful. I’m really excited for the next season in Miami, and I’ve even become friends with them myself!
