Mike Myers Crashes ‘SNL’ as Elon Musk as Cold Open Takes on Trump-Zelenskyy Meeting: ‘Donald, What Are You Doing in My Office?’

In the aftermath of Donald Trump’s confrontation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy causing a global shockwave, “Saturday Night Live” offered its unique take on this worldwide crisis. Kicking off this weekend’s episode – their first since the “SNL50” special – the show featured Trump (portrayed by James Austin Johnson) and Vice President JD Vance (Bowen Yang) scolding Zelenskyy (Mikey Day).

Later, unappointed Doge master Elon Musk made an appearance, portrayed by Mike Myers who is known for his work on SNL. This marked Myers’ first regular episode on SNL since December 2015, although he did appear in the SNL50 special playing his Linda Richman character from “Coffee Talk”. Towards the end of the show, he made a statement with his T-shirt while saying goodbye.

The presentation kicked off with a lighthearted narration: “Yesterday, President Trump welcomed President Zelenskyy to the White House, and it couldn’t have gone better. Viewers everywhere felt reassured, believing that our world has become a more secure place. Now, let’s revisit their groundbreaking press conference.

In my role as the proprietor of Gaza Hotel and Casino, Donald Trump, I extend a warm welcome to President Zelenskyy. This event promises to be extraordinary, an intricate maze that will captivate us all. While I can’t predict the future, I am eager for us to explore and discover its many wonders together.

“Additionally, Marco Rubio is present. I’ll refer to him as Little Marco. I appreciate President Zelenskyy for his laid-back ‘Star Trek’ style. We adore ‘Star Trek’ because there’s no emphasis on diversity and inclusion. The lead character was always white, and he commanded Spock, who I believe is from Guatemala. President Zelenskyy, do you have a moment to share some thoughts? Perhaps you could express your affection for Putin and apologize for the invasion of Russia. Maybe even propose a night out with your wife as a gesture.

However, as “Zelenskyy” attempted to respond, “Vance” interrupted: “I can interject now, as per our arrangement. What happened to ‘thank you’? I’ve noticed you haven’t thanked us even once in the last 15 seconds of my shouting at you! You didn’t say it just now, and you didn’t say it before either. When you entered this room, you didn’t express your gratitude. You didn’t compliment us on our good looks. ‘Where are my handsome boys?’ – that question was also missing from your conversation with us.

I’ve got to say, we’re really nailing it with these matching ties, and they seem to be growing more impressive by the day. It’s a shame that you don’t acknowledge this, not even a simple thank you or a compliment on our sharp appearance. You know, if I were inclined that way, I might find myself quite smitten too. But here we are, extending a helping hand… and yet it seems like you’re holding the short end of the stick.

I mean, let’s face it, I’ve got all the aces in this game – Skip, Draw Four, Reverse, Get Out of Jail Free, even the Supreme Court card. I’ve got Pikachu, Charmander, and Charizard, with only a Charmelian missing from my collection. And let’s not forget that I was gifted the ‘Get Out of Jail Free’ card by the Supreme Court. Without us, you’re just playing poker while Putin is engrossed in Magic: The Gathering.

The Russians have had a raw deal in the ongoing war, and honestly, ‘Anora’ has been misled and may very well lose to ‘Brutalist.’ It’s downright distasteful.

After that, “Vance” exclaimed, “I’ve virtually visited Ukraine through Google Maps. It seems chaotic! If I may quote a hero of mine, Willy Wonka, ‘You violated the rules. You receive nothing. You lose. Farewell, sir.’

You’ve also failed to dress appropriately, which is quite disrespectful. It seems unusual to visit the White House dressed casually, as if you were just an ordinary person wandering around in trashy attire.

Enter Myers as Elon Musk — of course, wearing a T-shirt and jeans.

“We love your outfit. Very official and respectful,” said the hypocritical Trump.

In a playful manner, Musk remarked, “Thank you, Donald. But why are you in my office? Just to remind me that I’m no longer just an entrepreneur, but the president now? Ha! Ha! Perhaps not…

Trump subsequently highlighted the actions of Doge, stating, “They’re carrying out widespread dismissals within the administration. We appreciate large-scale dismissals as it means we don’t need to remember many names or understand their specific roles.

Musk stated: “We won’t achieve perfection, understandably we’re letting go of unnecessary staff, such as air traffic control personnel.

Response: “Trump is saying that although some planes might land in an unusual way, the luggage still ends up easily accessible and the process remains efficient. He also mentions Elon Musk’s team of highly skilled professionals, including a 19-year-old nicknamed ‘Big Balls,’ who has been doing impressive work related to Dogecoin.

Quoting “Big Balls”, they said: “This week I dismissed a high-ranking black military officer and a female naval admiral. It was fantastic! And along with DOGE, we’ve launched another project called the Department of Reversing Child Healthcare and Education, or DRCHE.

“DOUCHE is going to be epic,” Musk said. “DOUCHE is going to really clean everything out well.”

The drawing concluded with Trump making a reference to another significant headline of the week: The unimpressive disclosure of “The Epstein Files.” “And to top off an extraordinary week,” Trump stated, “we’ll be releasing the Epstein Files at last.” “Indeed, America will get to see all the names, from A to S. But no ‘T’,” he added.

Last Friday, I found myself in an unusual situation at the White House. I, along with Trump, Vance, and Zelenskyy, were present. The conversation we had was far from cordial; it escalated into a heated argument. Trump and Vance seemed to be echoing Russian viewpoints and were pushing for Ukraine to strike a deal. They also criticized Zelensky for not being sufficiently grateful for the aid that the U.S. has provided.

Comedian Shane Gillis is hosting “Saturday Night Live” for the second time, while Tate McRae is also making her second appearance as the musical guest. Previously, Gillis hosted the show almost exactly a year ago (on February 24, 2024). During that episode, he didn’t avoid mentioning his past uneasy relationship with “SNL”: In fact, Gillis was originally chosen to join the cast in 2019, but racist, homophobic, and misogynistic comments he made on a podcast came to light.

A year ago, he mentioned during his speech, ‘I’m present,’ many of you likely won’t recognize me. In reality, I was dismissed from this program some time back. However, I kindly ask you not to search for my identity online, as it might not be familiar to you. If you’re unaware of who I am, please resist the urge to Google it. It’s all right, there’s no need to concern yourself with it.

Shane Gillis, known for co-hosting the hit podcast “Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast,” has found a permanent home on Netflix. His stand-up special “Shane Gillis: Beautiful Dogs” and comedy series “Tires” are currently streaming there. The second season of “Tires” is expected to air this year.

As a die-hard fan of “Saturday Night Live”, I’m thrilled to share that we’re finally getting a fresh episode! It’s been quite some time since the spectacular “SNL50: The Anniversary Special” aired on February 16, and that show drew an impressive live+same day average of 14.8 million viewers – a staggering 202% boost over the Season 50 average viewership of 4.9 million! I have no doubt that in the time since its initial broadcast, the “SNL50” audience has only grown even larger. Can’t wait to tune in!

This week’s “SNL” promotional video shows Gillis and cast member Ashley Padilla casually exploring the show’s studios, playfully hinting at lingering hangover remnants from the grand celebration of “SNL50”.

In the forthcoming week, Lady Gaga is set to return as both host and musical performer for a second time. Previously, she had already taken on the role of host for “SNL” once and served as the musical guest on four separate occasions.
