How To Complete The Absolver Quest In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

In role-playing games (RPGs), it’s not just about completing the primary storyline. The true essence of the game lies in the various subsidiary missions, the intriguing side characters encountered along the way, and the diverse locations they guide you to. These characters often play a significant role in helping you delve deeper into the game’s world and sometimes even introduce you to other key figures.

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’ll encounter an array of unique side quests that deviate from the norm in RPGs. For instance, instead of the usual heroic tasks, you might find yourself assisting a man who is envious of another due to his superior sword. His desire? To acquire that very sword for himself.

How To Start The Absolver Quest

Once you’ve finished the mission called “Speak of the Devil”, make your way to the Blacksmith who has become a Quest Tipster, positioned on the east side of Miskowitz Town.

Talk to him and choose the “What’s happening now?” option. He’ll guide you to Thomas of Kolin, who is stationed at Sigismund’s camp in the Kuttenberg area.

Thomas from Kolin doesn’t maintain a permanent spot within the camp, instead roaming about. However, you can use the map and look for the New Quest icon to get an idea of his current location.

After finding Thomas from Kolin, engage him in a chat and carry on the discussion until he eventually proposes that you swipe Basan’s sword for him.

How To Find Basan’s Sword

To your right on the map (if facing north), you will come across the tournament ring. Directly beneath it, slightly to the left, you’ll notice a white tent with a green border at its peak. Inside this tent, there is a chest located.

Make sure you’ve got some lockpicks handy, as the box is secured with a moderate lock. Remember, keep a low profile to avoid being noticed while trying to open it.

After unlocking and opening the chest, don’t forget to take hold of the items within, and then move on to your subsequent task.

How To Forge A Replica Of Basan’s Sword

Kick off the blacksmithing by making your way to the Blacksmith’s Workshop, found west of the campsite. Before you start working, collect the essential items you’ll require, and these are:

Lucky for me, I can acquire most of these needed items at the Blacksmith’s shop. However, the Deer Skin I’ll need to get from the friendly Armorsmith who resides nearby.

Gather all necessary items first, then let’s begin the blacksmithing procedure, much like traditional sword making. Upon completion, you will be rewarded with the final product.
