Sonic Rumble Now Coming Spring 2025 Following Delay

Initially planned for a late 2024 release, Sonic Rumble – the party game inspired by Fall Guys, developed by Sega – has experienced a change in its schedule. Now, instead of the end of last year, this free-to-play title is expected to debut this coming spring season.

In their latest blog update, Sega expressed gratitude to their fans for their understanding, as they are dedicated to crafting an unforgettable adventure tailored specifically for Sonic enthusiasts.

Prior to its official release in Spring 2025, Sonic Rumble was accessible during an early-access phase with restricted features. However, by the global launch, Sega plans to upgrade the game to version 1.2.0, which will introduce a novel competitive game mode and the “Crew” feature that encourages cooperative play among users.

At the game’s release, you’ll find a game mode titled “Quick Rumble.” This mode features quick, single-round contests designed for players with limited time. According to Sega, it’s specifically designed for those individuals.

Sonic Rumble will become available on iOS, Android, and PC through Steam at a time when it’s prepared. For the console series, the last launch was 2024’s Sonic X Shadows Generations. The upcoming major release is Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, slated for this year on consoles and PC.

Beyond gaming realm, the film “Sonic the Hedgehog 4” is slated for theater release in March 2027. This movie franchise has seen tremendous success, amassing over $1 billion in earnings from its initial three installments.
