No longer am I the aimless boy with doubts about our cause; instead, I’ve transformed into a resolute freedom fighter, prepared to take on any challenge to bring down the Empire.
The Ghorman Massacre
In the upcoming season 2 of Andor, the storyline is expected to delve deeply into the heart-wrenching incident that unfolded on the planet Ghorman. The initial shot in the trailer hints at this, as it showcases a recognizable location – specifically, a staircase. Moreover, approximately 48 seconds into the trailer, you can witness scenes directly related to this event. This event seems poised to play a substantial role in the series, potentially receiving extensive exploration. However, as of now, we are uncertain about its exact placement within the narrative.
In the year 2 Before the Battle of Yavin (BBY), an event known as the Ghorman Massacre occurred. During this time, Imperial troops brutally attacked and killed innocent protesters who were peacefully demonstrating. When word of the atrocity spread among the Rebels and Senator Mon Mothma, she openly accused Emperor Sheev Palpatine, which enraged the Empire and sparked a desire to capture her.

Yavin 4, the legendary Rebel headquarters, is set to make a comeback in our viewing experience. Although it holds significant significance to the storyline, it’s not frequently depicted in films and shows, so its reappearance in Andor carries considerable weight. Alas, he was noticeably absent in season 1, leaving room for another charming robot character. Yet, the anticipation for K-2SO’s comeback remains palpable. And now, my wishes have been granted! The latest trailer has given us our long-awaited first glimpse of him – rewind the trailer to 1 minute and 4 seconds for a closer look if you want to catch a better peek.
If you’re unfamiliar or need a refresher, K-2SO is the robot companion that Cassian Andor teamed up with in the movie “Rogue One”.
Mon Mothma’s daughter’s wedding
It seems clear that Leida is set to wed Sculdun’s son, as suggested by various scenes from the trailer. For instance, there’s the scene featuring Davo Sculdun and his wife greeting the Mothmas in a lavish Coruscant apartment. Additionally, the sequence where Mon Mothma and a group of girls dressed in Chandrilan attire perform a dance.
