She shared details with law enforcement, media, and lawyers about the domestic violence her brother experienced over the years. Now, she finds it absurd that the story continues to persist in this manner.

It seems Cassie’s recent remark points to Detective Tracy Barry from Suffolk County, New York, who conversed with the Florida authorities in September 2021 following the disappearance of Gabby.

Detective Barry shared that Cassie stated Brian disclosed to her he had flown back home and abandoned Gabby at a Wyoming hotel. However, this information puzzled law enforcement officials since, upon their visit to the Laundrie residence, Gabby’s vehicle was found parked outside.

One additional reason for Cassie’s criticism is that some damaging text messages between her and her mother Roberta, revealed in American Murder, appeared to trivialize the situation after Brian had disappeared.
