Famous insider reveals how many players bought Assassin’s Creed: Shadows’ preorders and review embargo date

The video game “Assassin’s Creed: Shadows” has experienced two delays so far. Originally planned for release on November 15 of the previous year, it was pushed back to February 14 this year due to further polishing. More recently, the company announced that the game would come out on March 20th. Given that this is the third rescheduling, it’s likely that this is the final release date.

AC: Shadows is “almost finished”

According to a report by Insider Gaming, despite some uncertainty, the developers of the game are optimistic about the scheduled March release. As mentioned in the article written by Tom Henderson, Ubisoft is gearing up for increased marketing efforts and has set an embargo date for game reviews, which will be unveiled on March 18, two days before the actual release.

According to reports, representatives from several developers of ‘Assassin’s Creed: Shadows’ have confirmed that the game is nearly complete and set for its March release. One developer mentioned that currently, the game is “almost finished,” suggesting that Ubisoft’s anticipated new title will undoubtedly launch next month.

Number of pre-orders sold

It’s important to mention that even though the studio’s last major release, Star Wars: Outlaws, was a financial flop, the upcoming game, Shadows, might perform significantly better. This assumption is supported by the strong pre-orders for the game, which the company claims are steady and on par with those of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, one of the most financially successful installments in the series.

According to Insider Gaming’s report, a staggering 300,000 people have already pre-ordered “AC: Shadows” – this is double the number who pre-ordered “Outlaws” during the same timeframe before their respective releases. Experts predict that the game could sell approximately 3.5 million copies within the first month after its launch.

The game titled “Assassin’s Creed: Shadows” will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Prior to making a purchase, it is advisable to review the system specifications, as they tend to be rather demanding.
