Overwatch 2 FINALLY Adds Unique Skin Voice Lines!

In an interesting update for Overwatch 2, some character skins now boast intricate details that were absent before, enhancing their overall appearance.

In my gaming world, Overwatch 2’s Season 15 is a treasure trove for me! There are loads of fresh cosmetics up for grabs, some exclusively from the Battle Pass and others even free via Twitch Drops. And let’s not forget about those loot boxes making a comeback, offering another fun route to expand my ever-growing skin collection!

Regarding the topic of cosmetics, developers have added an eagerly anticipated feature which many have asked for over time.

Now, you can make your hero’s ultimate sound unique by using certain skins, which adds an extra layer of realism and enjoyment to gameplay.

Overwatch 2 skin-specific voice lines have finally been added

According to the latest changes, customized unique voice lines related to specific modes and unused ones are now active for the skins they’re meant to be associated with.

Previously, no matter if you wore the Vengeance Mercy Mythic skin, Mercy would still utter her usual “Heroes never die!” voice line upon ultimate activation.

Now, she would exclaim, “Revenge knows no end!” This fits her character better, as it was initially portrayed.

This addition encompasses more than simply Mythic skins; it extends to additional themed skins as well. These include the Greek Gods skins and the skins for Lilith Moira.

In this update, you’ll find not only Mythic skins but also a variety of other themed skins, such as those based on the Greek Gods and Lilith Moira.

In relation to Overwatch 2, developers considered the feedback from players about how character-specific ultimate lines in skins were causing playability issues for a number of gamers.

I was thrilled to discover that they’ve limited the use of custom hostile ultimate abilities only to specific game modes. However, it seems they couldn’t manage to incorporate them into the overall gaming experience yet.

Currently, some characters haven’t had their unique ultimate voice lines adjusted yet. For instance, Amaterasu Kiriko continues to use her previous voice line.

Developers further noted that this new feature allowing for unique voice lines for each player won’t affect what the opposing team hears. As a result, they are excited about having greater freedom to alter ultimate voice lines in the future.
