Where To Find Pavlena In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

In “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2“, once Bozhena has mended Henry and Hans, it seems only right to show our gratitude for her kindness. Later on, in the main storyline, you can return to her hut. A good time to do this is when you’re both labeled as beggars and denied entry to the castle.

If you wish to return Bozhena’s favor, she might inform you that her daughter, Pavlena, has been absent for several days now. This situation would then trigger the side quest known as “Bad Blood”.

Investigate To Find More About Pavlena

After chatting with Bozhena, make your way to Pavelna’s quarters for some investigative work. If you possess sufficient lock-picking proficiency, you might attempt to open the chest in her room; however, if not, don’t fret as there will be plenty of other leads to follow.

First, find a cap on a stool and converse with Bozhena once more. Subsequently, make your way to Troskowitz and engage either the Scribe or the Bailiff. They will both provide instructions to consult Woodcutter Dushka for further details.

You might as well have a chat with Betty, the local innkeeper, who can guide you to other interesting individuals. Nonetheless, your ultimate destination remains Dushka.

Upon reaching your map marker, you might not come across Woodcutter Dushka immediately, as he could be in the vicinity, searching for a man named Roman. Listen for his calls, and by following the sound of his voice, you should be able to locate him.

As a fan, I’d recommend approaching Dushka for more details if you have at least 8 points in the relevant skill. If you opt for the first choice, he’ll share valuable information with you, just like Henry might dole out Groschen when he persuades Dushka that those coins could be useful should a guard demand payment. However, it’s wiser not to threaten or intimidate him by choosing the third option, as it’s less effective in this situation.

Later, Dushka will give you insights into Pavlena’s connection with Roman. Since he too is seeking Roman, he won’t think twice about assisting you in your search. Therefore, carry on your investigation by exploring Roman’s house. Force open the front door and proceed to examine inside.

If you’re unable to pick the lock or open the door by another means, consider scaling the ladder located next to the building instead. After reaching the top with the aid of the ladder, proceed towards the kitchen for some clues. Note that a chest awaits your discovery, but its contents can only be accessed through skilled lockpicking.

After wrapping up my investigation, I’ll uncover that Pavlena was at Roman’s place. With this fresh intel, I’m headed back to Dushko for a chat. Once I fill him in, he should be able to guide me towards some hidden clues nearby the stream.

Looking For More Clues Near The Stream

Head to the spot marked on your map, as there are additional clues waiting for you there. Upon arriving at the open space Dushko referred to, you will see bloodstains on the ground. Follow the trail of blood and you’ll eventually come across a deceased individual. The body is Roman’s, and a pig seems to be feeding on it.

To track down Roman’s corpse, you’ll first need to complete a side mission to get hold of your canine companion, Mutt. Once you’ve acquired him, you can let him sniff the blood trail and guide you to the location. If you don’t have Mutt, fear not, as the blood trail is clear enough that you should be able to find Roman without any trouble.

A farmer who works with pigs will be close by. He may provide information about someone called Straw, who could have been involved in Roman’s death. Once you’ve spoken to the farmer, a marker will appear on your map indicating where Straw is located.

Confronting Straw

Straw will be hiding behind the barn. Confront him, and you will be given some skill checks.

Opting for the “dread check” won’t be effective because he will resort to violence against you instead. Therefore, it would be wiser to employ words or charm as a tactic, aiming to extract information about Pavlena’s whereabouts. In other words, try talking or using your charisma to gather the required info.

After obtaining the necessary details, you have two choices: either execute him or deliver him to the Bailiff. Executing him is swift, but it may tarnish your town’s image. On the other hand, delivering him to the bailiff will enhance your reputation, although he will still perish in the process. Regardless of your decision, it won’t impact the progress of the quest.

Where To Find Pavlena

After taking care of business with Straw, move towards the spot on your map marked as Pavlena’s location. As you approach, keep an eye out for a ladder nestled among some rocks, guarded by a dog. You have the option to either steer clear of the dog or take it down.

At the summit of the ladder, there’s another worker named Ota who has captured Pavlena. You have two options: let Pavlena perish or engage in a discussion with Ota to rescue her for a more favorable outcome. Keep in mind that your negotiation might turn sour if you further agitate Ota or bring up the fact that Pavlena is pregnant.

Should she meet an untimely end, I’d find myself making the journey to Bozhena to break the heartrending news. Overwhelmed by sorrow, she will plead with me to take action against Jakesh, a man who has wreaked havoc on her tranquility. Now, it falls upon me to decide whether to eliminate him or attempt to reason with him instead.

How To Save Pavlena

Instead, let’s focus on the most effective approach which involves ensuring Pavlena’s safety. This can be achieved by making a point to introduce yourself during the negotiation process.

After seeing Pavlena, do not take another step, as this will cause Ota to kill her instantly.

Hey there! I’m Henry, Bozhena gave me a heads-up to reach out to you. She mentioned your name, so I thought it’d be great if we connected. By the way, could you share with me the reason behind what you’re currently doing? Also, I’d like to take this opportunity to speak highly of you to Von Bergow. If everything goes well, he might consider releasing Pavlena. Hope this helps!

Once Pavlena gets out, she’ll end up killing him. It would be wise to support Pavlena in this situation, and then escort her back home. To get there quickly, you might as well journey with her.

Should You Kill Or Spare Jakesh

No matter what happens to Pavlena, Bozhena will still expect you to eliminate Jake upon your return. If you refuse her request, you’ll risk damaging your standing with her, and the quest will be concluded.

If you agree, Jakesh’s location will show up on your map. Should you eliminate Jakesh, it will significantly boost your standing with Bozhena and Pavlena, opening up a new conversation with them.

Should you take the life of Jakesh, you’ll likely damage your standing within Troskowitz. There’s a strong possibility that if someone witnesses the act, they might report it, leading to your arrest.

If you choose to spare him and help him reconcile with Bozhena, they’ll both return to Troskowitz. She will share with you half the money Jakesh provided; you have the option to accept it or ask her to hold onto it for Pavlena, so he can finish the quest.

It turns out that courting Pavlena isn’t an option, so slaying Jakesh would only result in obtaining a necklace that once belonged to her and was gifted by Roman.
