Get Ready: A New Last Supper Movie Hits Theaters Before The Chosen Season 5!

Skip ahead from The Chosen Season 5, as another film is slated to portray the events preceding the Last Supper – and it’ll hit theaters before the new season debuts.

In the realm of The Chosen, there’s a new development: Dallas Jenkins has declared that Prime Video is the latest collaborator for the franchise. This means that Season 5 can be viewed on Amazon’s streaming platform ahead of it becoming free to stream on the show’s official website and app.

In the upcoming fifth season, we’ll delve into the happenings of Holy Week, including Jesus’s grand entrance into Jerusalem, his purification of the Temple, and eventually, his apprehension in the Garden of Gethsemane.

In simpler terms, we’re referring to the Last Supper, which was Jesus’ last meal with his disciples. Although it’s a significant part of the story, it might have to share the spotlight with another movie.

The Last Supper movie is coming to cinemas in March 2025

mark my words, I can’t wait until March 14, 2025, when I’ll be heading to the cinemas to catch “The Last Supper,” a film brought to us by Pinnacle Peak Pictures! Contrary to some speculation, it has no connection to “The Chosen.” Instead, it originates from the same creative minds behind the popular God’s Not Dead series and Average Joe. Can’t wait to see what they’ve cooked up for this one!

In the time before treachery, a group of followers gathers, only to find themselves entangled in a net of concealed truths and self-serving intentions.

Bubbling under the calm exterior, suspicions rise, faith is challenged, and allegiances are scrutinized. That fateful dinner, known as The Last Supper, turns out to be a time when appearances deceive, and each look conceals a more profound reality.

In this production, Jamie Ward, recognized for his role as Father Gomez in His Dark Materials, takes on the part of Jesus. Meanwhile, Robert Knepper, famed for his performance in Prison Break, plays Judas. The film is helmed by Mauro Borrelli, who has made a name for himself through his artistic contributions to Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Captain America: The First Avenger.
