Meryl Streep Gets Turned on by Pedro Pascal as ‘SNL50’ Brings Back Kate McKinnon’s X-Rated Alien Abduction Sketch: ‘This Devil Wears Nada’

At “SNL50”, Kate McKinnon brought back her well-known character Miss Rafferty from the Close Encounter sketches, standing alongside an illustrious group consisting of Pedro Pascal, Jon Hamm, Woody Harrelson, Aidy Bryant. Remarkably, Meryl Streep played the role of Miss Rafferty’s mother in the scene as well.

In my account, I, along with Pascal’s and Harrelson’s characters, share our chilling experiences of being abducted, attempting to persuade our military interrogators portrayed by Hamm and Bryant. Miss Rafferty vividly describes the disarray of her personal space during her ordeal, using Pascal and Harrelson as examples. Later, Streep’s character, Miss Rafferty, apologizes for being late: “My initial plan backfired, turning into a disaster,” and “Rafferty women seem to always draw the weird ones,” which undeniably catches the attention of Pascal’s scruffy character.

Meryl Streep’s character, Miss Rafferty, playfully delves into flirtation by alluding to one of Streep’s films when discussing her personal appearance: “I’ve got a bit of an ‘Into the Woods’ scenario going on.” (Kate McKinnon burst out laughing at this point.)

With McKinnon positioned between Streep and Pascal, both women – McKinnon and Streep – spreading their legs comfortably while puffing on cigars, Pascal leers and remarks, “You’re a great mother.” To this, Street’s character, Miss Rafferty, retorts playfully, “Well, a good mother can still be quite naughty,” as they exchange scrutinizing glances. “And what do they call you, Mr. Facial Hair?” she adds.

In my critique, as Hamm attempts to diffuse the tension between these two characters, Meryl Streep quips, “Even the devil is clad in nothing.

Interestingly enough, Meryl Streep, renowned for her long career, has never taken on the role of hosting “Saturday Night Live.” Conversely, Pascal made his appearance as a host during Season 48, and Harrelson followed suit, also in Season 48. Both these actors became members of the exclusive ‘five-timers club’ after their successful hosting stints.
